Food 4 Kids: Week 6 already! -6/29/2009

    Week 6 of this summer's FREE Food 4 Kids program kicked off Monday with Nutrition Day. ... have you volunteered yet!
    Food 4 Kids offers children a FREE noontime meal and activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday all summer.
    After four weeks, volunteers had served a total of 1,312 meals at three locations: Immanuel UCC, Wesley United Methodist and Taylor Chapel. We'll have last week's totals soon.
    Thanks to the SFCC nursing student volunteers who interact with the kids during activity time. We appreciate you!
    Helping is easy and fun! Sign up in the Red Room, call the church office at 826-3553, or simply show up; we'd love to have you!

Fellowship time -6/2/2009

Remember to join us for fellowship time from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings before worship. It's a great time to socialize with your church family. Look for folks carrying cookies and punch, and follow the trail of crumbs!
If you haven't taken a turn and would like to provide treats one morning, just sign up in the Red Room.

    Welcome to our newest members, Ernie Keele, his fianceé Rachel Cooper, and the Rev. Jim Stovall, who joined Immanuel UCC May 10.
    We're delighted you're a part of our growing faith community, and look forward to getting to know you better.
     A continued welcome to Luann Stovall and Tammy and Kenneth Manuel, who joined Immanuel UCC April 26.

The new window coverings are finished! - 5/1/2009
    The new window coverings have been installed! Work was completed in time for everyone to admire the beautiful windows on Sunday, April 26. Trim on the large stained glass window on the south and the two round stained glass windows on the tower was scraped and painted bright white, so they are now not only protected, but beautiful!
    Thanks to Immanuel members who donated more than $17,500 in less than three months...what a fantastic show of support to preserve our beautiful windows. THANK YOU!
