Words about worship -1/28/2012
Greetings,
I hope you are planning to attend church tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 29. At Immanuel, we will be talking about Mark 1:21-28 and Jesus teaching and his authority. What is it that gives Jesus authority?
Plus, we are celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Rick Keele and Chance Brown will both be baptised. Come be a part of that wonderful event.
Remember, worship is 10:30 and fellowship time is 9:45.

Holiday Food Packs ready! -12/13/2011
We did it!!
Immanuel members donated enough food to fill 112 HOLIDAY FOOD PACKS to go along with the UCC’s Mission 1 initiative!
A $10 gift certificate for meat was added to each sack, and all food packs were distributed by 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at Open Door. There were still folks lined up.
Thanks, once again, Immanuel, for your Christmas love and generosity!

Food 4 Kids a summer success -8/29/2011
Food 4 Kids, Immanuel's free summer lunch program, ended its sixth season Aug. 24 with a whopping 76 people attending the final day.
In addition to sharing a delicious meal, kids played "stack the Oreo cookies" and "stack the apples" for prizes. Who knew you could stack 26 Oreos in just one minute??
This year, the Food 4 Kids ministry served an amazing 3,692 meals, including those served at Taylor Chapel.
It was another wonderful, successful year. Thanks to all of you who volunteered so many hours and gave so willingly.
See you next summer, when we once again will gather for free lunch, laughter, love, and the Lord!!
Fellowship time serves up fun! -8/27/2011
Remember to join us from 9:45-10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings before worship for great snacks, juice, and conversation in the Red Room. It's a great time to socialize with your church family.

Open Door Thrift Shop needs you! -2/13/2011
The Open Door Thrift Shop is in need of donations and help!
Rag cutter are always needed, since there's a great demand for rags.
If you would rather cut up rags at home, they can have bags of clothing ready for you to take home. Just give Betty Bultemeier a call in advance and let her know how many bags you want so she can have them ready.

Praise Party for God a huge success! - 7/19/2010
Immanuel's 2010 Vacation Bible School, "Praise Party for God," was a huge success!
A total of 33 students registered for VBS, which met July 12-18. The five evenings of fun featured a supper snack, music, games, story time, crafts, and science experiments.
The students enthusiastically sang the VBS theme song, "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord," during worship July 18. After worship they used tickets they received during the week to shop for toys, books, goodies and school supplies in the VBS store.
Thanks to all the terrific volunteers who helped out all week, with a special thanks to those who planned and organized the week's activities. Thanks also to the youth who helped. Super job, everybody!
Congratulations to confirmation class of 2010 - 4/5/2010
Congratulations to the five Immanuel students who were confirmed March 28!
Kylie Bales, Austin Bullerd, Paige Staus, Drake Stetzenbach and Megan Wilbanks-Miller affirmed their faith with Immanuel UCC in front of the congregation, family and friends.
The Christian Education committee provided cake and punch during fellowship time. It was a joyous occasion.
Thanks to all the family and friends who attended worship to support this year's confirmands; it was good to have you with us!
