Gabriel Requadt was born in Pleasant Hill, California, but spent most of his life in the St. Louis area.  After graduating from McKendree University in 2014 with a degree in Marketing, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2016, serving as a photojournalist until 2020.

It was during and after his time in the Air Force that Gabriel increasingly sensed God calling him toward ministry.  For him, that calling was not a single dramatic moment, but more like the dawning of the sun - God's light gradually leading him toward a life of ministry: accompanying people through their darkest moments, celebrating with them in their joys, and walking alongside them through all seasons of life.

In 2021, Gabriel began studying at Eden Theological Seminary, earning his Master of Divinity in 2024.  During seminary, he discovered the United Church of Christ and found in the UCC a theological home that deeply resonated with his understanding of faith and ministry.

Since then, Gabriel has served in a variety of ministries, including his work at Parkway United Church of Christ in St. Louis, where he served in Christian Education, administration, building management, and as a licensed minister.  In June 2026, he was approved ordination pending a call.  Gabriel was called to serve as Immanuel UCC, in Sedalia, Missouri on August 16, 2026.  Following his official call to Immanuel, Gabriel was ordained on September 20, 2026 Parkway UCC in St. Louis.

Gabriel enjoys running, reading, playing board games, going to movies, and binging movies and shows with his wife, Shaine, and spending time with his dog, Nebula.
